Meet the Sacred Sexual Healers Who Channel the Divine to Heal Our Genitals
Still, their work is stigmatized.
I was chosen by Zuva Seven, the editor of An Injustice! to write “The Take on X” newsletter this month. Here is the result of that collaboration. I’m really proud of it.
In July of last year, I began participating in Clubhouse rooms where people discussed topics associated with sex. Experts sat on virtual panels, and people would enter the rooms to ask questions.
Before long, I was sitting on these panels as a BDSM expert. As a former dominatrix, I counseled beginners on how to introduce kink into their relationships and calmed down several men who felt like there was something wrong with them for having BDSM fantasies.
Little did I know, I would receive help for my own sexual issues.
Though I’ve been forthcoming about my sex-work past, many don’t know that I’ve suffered from shame regarding it. I’ve felt ashamed about my desire to explore my sexuality in general. And though I revolutionized my sexuality by doing sex work, I’ve still felt confused about why I ever chose to do this taboo job.
A part of me has felt racked with guilt.
As many of my readers know, when I first started writing on Medium as “Mysterious Witt,” I hid behind an avatar. Little by little, I became more comfortable with my story. I began to show my body on social media.
But I still didn’t show my face. It took a lot of courage to even appear on social media with a mask on.
And then my mask came off.
Why?
I can thank the sacred sexual healers I met on Clubhouse, who helped me work through my shame.
What is a sacred sexual healer?
First, I should define what a sacred sexual healer is. These experts coach people on how to experience more sexual pleasure in their lives.
They do this by helping their clients work through blockages caused by shame, trauma, and repression. But specifically, they do this by channeling the divine.
Lucia Pavone is one such sacred sexual healer I met on Clubhouse. She supports her clients “to understand that the mind, body, and spirit are connected.”
Yulia Rose, is another sacred sexual healer I met by way of Clubhouse. By channeling the divine spirit, Rose helps her clients release blockages, heal traumas, and connect to pleasure.
Sure, channeling the divine is one thing. But how do sacred sexual healers actually carry out this healing?
Pavone says, “Rituals are involved. I begin with breathwork, create a sacred container.”
But sacred sexual healers also help their clients by doing what other therapists won’t do: they work hands-on with the genitalia.
If you would like to support my writing, please consider buying me a coffee. The above article was written for free.
Also, these days, I’m focusing on finishing my memoir, Sex-Starved, which chronicles my sexual life after my divorce. At this point, I’m not earning money from this writing. I have no idea if I ever will.
Support from my subscribers, in any amount, always helps. That said, I’m just happy you’re here. Thank you for your time and attention to my writing.
Another way you can support me is by simply clicking on my Wattpad profile and reading and liking the chapters I’ve so far written. After only three months on the platform, I was #1 in “Memoir.” I’m now #10 in “Autobiography .”
More to come soon!
